Data-led decisions
The method is chosen from on-site inspection and test results rather than assumptions, so unnecessary intervention is avoided and nothing necessary is left out.
Structural Strengthening and Insulation
We assess the load-bearing system of existing buildings in line with TBDY 2018 and apply strengthening solutions suited to each structure.
About this service
Building strengthening covers the planned interventions made to a structure’s load-bearing system to improve its behavior under earthquake and vertical loads. Every building is different, so we do not begin with a standard recipe but with a study of its age, materials and present condition.
Assessments and analyses follow the principles of TBDY 2018, the Turkish Building Earthquake Code. Depending on the results, the suitable method is chosen, such as concrete jacketing, carbon fiber wrapping, steel reinforcement or added shear walls, and the work is completed under control. Each step is documented.
We do the job with the right plan, right materials and meticulous workmanship.
The method is chosen from on-site inspection and test results rather than assumptions, so unnecessary intervention is avoided and nothing necessary is left out.
Works are planned to disturb occupants as little as possible, and the work programme and any constraints are shared openly at the outset.
Every stage is recorded, and the scope of the work done and the materials used are handed over to you in a file when the works end.

FAQ
The decision depends on the building’s condition, load-bearing performance and a cost comparison. After a technical study we assess both options objectively and give you a reasoned recommendation. The decision should weigh safety, duration and expected service life, not cost alone.
The scope of the method and the area being worked on decide this. Some works can proceed with the building in use, while others need temporary vacating. We make this clear after the survey, together with safety and the programme.
After a short exchange of information on the location, age and condition of the building, an on-site survey is carried out. Based on its findings, the required tests, analysis steps and roadmap are clarified together.
